Hello,

I am Marlana, and I have been with Infectious Disease Associates and Travel Medicine since early 2021. Besides being our Manager, I assist in all aspects of the practice including my favorite, Wound Care! Before going into the Medical Field, I was a Law Enforcement Dispatcher for almost 20 years and was a supervisor for nine.

During my time in Law Enforcement Dispatch, I continuously held my certifications in Emergency Medical Dispatch, CPR, First Aide for children and adults, and a Florida First Responder Certification. I earned my Instructor Technique Certification from Florida Gateway College in 2015. I also hold numerous other Nationwide Certifications.

I have married to my husband Ronny for 15 years and together we have 6 children, and 3 Dogs.

Amanda

I am Amanda, the Certified Wound Care Nurse at IDTM. While I have been in the medical field for 15 years, wound care has always been a passion of mine. I provide direct care to patients and promote healthy and rapid healing of my patient’s wounds. I enjoy assessing, treating, and monitoring patients’ wounds. Working with Dr. Garlington, we assess the appropriateness of specific wound care treatments, antibiotic therapy, surgery, or grafting. I find it satisfying when presented with a problematic chronic wound, problem-solving to find a solution, and watching that chronic wound finally close. I hope to see you soon.
